Choosing the Diet Plan that Fits You
62
What is your diet personality? Be realistic!
- What are you willing to give up to lose weight?
- Are you a picky eater, or are you willing to eat what is good for you?
- Are you willing to become more active, thus giving yourself a better chance of success?
- Do you mind measuring your food and counting calories?
- Do you cook your own food or do you eat out more often?
- Do you need weekly incentives and support from a diet group?
- Are you willing to spend extra money on specific foods or for the a cost of a diet plan?
- Is your desire to look and feel better stronger than your desire for food?
- Does the work diet make you hungry?
After you have answered these questions honestly, you can begin to look for a plan that will work for you.
Before making a commitment, research the many diet options. What might have worked for your cousin or coworker may not be the best for you. Go online and study the specifics of each diet you are considering. There are also books that are available on many diet plans.
Does the diet plan provide adequate nutrition to retain your health? Make sure you will be getting enough vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein.
Is the diet one that you feel you could stay on for a long period of time and make it part of your lifestyle? Does it fit your time schedule or does it require you to eat several small meals which would interfere with your work?
Get a check up with your doctor to make sure there are no physical problems. Your doctor will also be able to determine if medications you are taking will interact with diet pills or supplements.
Don't be fooled by the hype. Be aware that many diet plans are scams. Some are fads that have no scientific backing or have not been tried long enough to be reliable.
If you choose a diet pill to help you along, make sure you know what the ingredients are and how they work.

I think my fat is made of cement. No matter I do, it will not vanish. Thank you for an impressive hub and I enjoyed reading it.
Nice hub Elayne. I live on a diet. It's a change in lifestyle from many years ago, but whatever we call it- I have to stick to it. We can't gain weight, lose, gain, etc. Most people are starving from eating too much of the wrong stuff. Thanks for great info!
Good hub!Its a trial and error thing. It took me awhile to realize what works for me. My sucess just like eat a little bit through out the day. It controls my portions too. and seemed to work in some weight loss. I need to go back to doing that more. Lol
Good hub. I think a lot of people can lose weight but keeping it off is another story. I think probably increasing your activity to burn more calories is very helpful but it isn't easy to be disciplined on that either.
Habit! We are all creatures of habit. There are many great diets out there and something for everyone. JUST allow yourself the time (@ twenty one days) to change your bad eating habits to good ones. Be kind to yourself and just keep working to change your habits. Peace :)
I figured out more interesting things on this fat reduction issue. 1 issue is a good nutrition is vital when dieting. A tremendous reduction in junk food, sugary foodstuff, fried foods, sugary foods, pork, and white-colored flour products may be necessary. Retaining wastes harmful bacteria, and toxins may prevent goals for losing fat. While specified drugs briefly solve the problem, the nasty side effects are not worth it, they usually never provide more than a short lived solution. It can be a known undeniable fact that 95% of fad diets fail. Many thanks sharing your opinions on this web site.

That's a good hub, but diets don't work for the majority who refatten afterwards: also, good diets need be afforded, not so easy for those on lower incomes. How about a "Poor person's diet?"
