Couples that have been together for quite a while seem to start taking each other for granted. To avoid this dilemma, take time each day to do something for your partner that you know they like. Whether it be a back rub, foot massage, a smooch, or a cup of hot cocoa. You spend a lot of time trying to please others, especially at work and other relationships. Make time to nurture your relationship with your spouse on a daily basis.
We have been married now for 38 years, and to keep it fun and exciting, we try really hard to go on a Friday night date. We love going to the mall about thirty miles away, having a treat, perhaps taking in a movie and window shopping. On Sundays, we love taking a walk together to remember what a beautiful place we live in, and to ground ourselves in preparation for the coming week.

Awesome suggestions! I'm happily engaged right now, but I remember being single all to well! If you are without a date, and have interests, you can also fill your time, doing things you love, and meeting people with similar interests by finding a meetup. Meetups are local groups of people, whether its computer geeks, bowlers, single 30s, divers or public speakers. I know meetup.com is one site that lists many meetups. When you're single its nice to be able to do the things you like, with like minded people. If you happen to meet Mr. or Mrs Right along the way, all the better.

Great hub, and heaps of great ideas for date nights there! It is easy to get caught doing the same things all the time - dinner, movies etc. Good idea to keep things fresh with new things. Finding the time can be difficult sometimes though, but worth the effort.
